Adoption Program Coordinator

What you’ll be doing

As the Adoption Program Coordinator, you’ll help parrots find loving, suitable homes by managing the adoption process. You’ll screen applications, conduct interviews, and work with the Community Manager (Adoption), Welfare Interviewers, and Assistants to organise home visits and assessments. You’ll also provide ongoing support to adopters and keep detailed records of all adoptions and follow-up visits.

We’re looking for someone who has

• Experience managing adoption processes or similar programs (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• The ability to conduct interviews and assess suitability for adoption.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of parrot care and behaviour (or a willingness to learn).
• Approximately 4–6 hours per week to contribute to this role, depending on the volume of adoptions and follow-ups.
