Parrot Transport Team Member

What you’ll be doing

As a Parrot Transport Team Member, you’ll ensure the safe and stress-free transport of parrots, volunteers, and related items like cages, food, and care products to and from foster homes, adoption homes, veterinary appointments, rescue operations, and events. You’ll be driving them around, ensuring the safety and comfort of the parrots, and maintaining accurate records of your activities.

We’re looking for someone who has

• A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record, with their own vehicle (car or larger).
• The ability to handle and transport parrots safely and comfortably.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining safe transport conditions.
• Physical ability to carry cages and equipment (optional).
• Knowledge of parrot care and behaviour during transport (or a willingness to learn).
• Availability to attend to ad hoc transportation requests, depending on transport needs and schedules.

As we are rather tight on funds, we appreciate any contributor who would be willing to conduct these transportation work without reimbursement!
