Ian’s Story

I have helped foster 2 birds with them, Twitter, a lovebird and an Amazon, Green Boy. My fostering journey with Parrot Society has been very fruitful and it has always brought me a lot of joy to see the fosters gel well with their adopters.

Fostering comes with it’s own challenges, but it’s all worth it when you see that the bird is finally well socialized and has no behavioral issues.

Being a foster is definitely an eye-opening experience and may not be the faint of heart, especially if you are dealing with a medium size parrot as well.

Some parrots are notorious for having a very strong bite force after all. If you feel that you are up to the challenge, then I would certainly recommend applying to be a foster and to try your hand at it.
