Meet Melon – A Gentle Old Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home

Melon is a senior lovebird with a heart full of sweetness and a few special needs. He has cataracts, which make his world a little blurry, and he has long-standing feather-plucking habits that will likely always be part of who he is.

Despite that, Melon has a gentle and affectionate nature. He adores quiet company and especially loves gentle head massages — he’ll close his eyes and lean right in for them. He isn’t very active like younger birds, but he enjoys calm voices, soft music, and the comfort of familiar people.

Melon would do best in a peaceful, stable home that understands older birds and doesn’t expect a “perfect” pet. He deserves someone patient, who will appreciate his quirks and love him just as he is — a sweet, trusting bird who has been through a lot and simply wants a little kindness in his golden years.
