Meet Pesto – A Timid but Curious Senegal Parrot

Pesto was a parrot surrendered to us due to changes in life circumstances of his previous owner, which made it impossible to continue caring for Pesto anymore. A very well-loved parrot, Pesto is young and still making sense of the world.

Pesto has a very curious personality and loves watching whatever the hoomans are doing! When they don’t see you, they would contact-call with clicks and whistles! Pesto loves playing with shreddable toys and balls, and especially LOVES eating. Any food given to Pesto (pellets, fruits, veggies, treats) will be gobbled up in no time!

Pesto takes a variable amount of time to warm up to people. With his foster mom, it took him 2 months to be receptive to her, but with his foster dad, it took only 2 weeks! Pesto would require a family who is willing to be patient with introduction, but once familiar, is a super sweet and interactive baby!

Note: Pesto comes with a large cage and a small carrier that is already suitable, with some basic perches and accessories packaged with the cage.
