Welfare Assistants

What you’ll be doing

As a Welfare Assistant, you’ll support Welfare Interviewers by assisting with home visits, collecting data, and preparing reports. This role is ideal for volunteers looking to gain experience in the welfare field.

  • New to the welfare field and eager to learn.
  • Organised and good at managing information and documents.
  • Supportive team players who can work closely with others.

We’re looking for someone who has

  • A willingness to learn and gain experience in welfare assessments.
  • Strong organisational skills for collecting and documenting data.
  • Good interpersonal skills and sensitivity in dealing with people.
  • Attention to detail in preparing reports and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of parrot care and behaviour (or a willingness to learn).
  • Availability to attend to ad hoc requests, depending on the number of visits. Each home visit usually lasts for 30-60 minutes.
