Welfare Interviewer
What you’ll be doing
As a Welfare Interviewer, you’ll ensure parrots are placed in safe and appropriate homes by conducting home assessments. You’ll visit homes, prepare assessment reports, and work closely with Welfare Assistants to provide thorough and unbiased evaluations.
Great for people who are
- Observant and analytical, with a keen eye for detail.
- Comfortable educating others kindly on best practices in parrot care.
- Experienced in conducting evaluations or assessments (training will be provided if not).
We’re looking for someone who has
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- The ability to prepare detailed and unbiased reports.
- Good communication skills for educating adopters and foster families.
- The ability to guide and collaborate with Welfare Assistants.
- Knowledge of parrot care and the specific needs of different species (or a willingness to learn).
- Availability to conduct home visits on an ad hoc basis, depending on the number of assessments required. Each home visit session usually lasts for 30-60 minutes.
